The Broker - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
